Project Overview: Chick-fil-A Build-Out – University of Arizona, Tucson Campus Food Hall

Project Summary:
This project involved the design, construction, and launch of a fully operational Chick-fil-A restaurant within the University of Arizona’s on-campus food hall in Tucson. The objective was to enhance dining options for students, faculty, and visitors by introducing a nationally recognized quick-service brand known for its quality food and customer service.

Scope of Work:

  • Site Assessment & Planning: Collaborate with university facilities and food service management to evaluate the selected food hall space and determine infrastructure needs.

  • Design & Engineering: Develop architectural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) plans in compliance with Chick-fil-A corporate standards and university regulations.

  • Construction & Build-Out: Execute construction including kitchen installation, dining area setup, point-of-sale systems, and signage, all tailored to Chick-fil-A specifications.

  • Permitting & Compliance: Secure necessary local permits, health department approvals, and campus-specific operational clearances.

  • Staffing & Training: Recruit and train team members in accordance with Chick-fil-A’s operational and customer service protocols.

  • Marketing & Launch: Coordinate with university communications and Chick-fil-A marketing to plan a soft opening and grand opening event.
